Psyllium seek husks and the immaculate no-wiper

Tagged:

I went camping at Yosemite for Labor Day weekend. It was a great time but most of the meals we ate were not ideal for your digestive health: hot dogs, bratwursts, pizza1 , sandwiches, spam, chips, and beer. For essentially 4 days (Fri – Mon) I didn’t have a quality movement2.

Coincidentally at work we’ve been talking about colon cleanse treatments like Colon Blow because it just sounds like a good idea to clear things out once in a while. Metamucil has long been on my mind after reading about the “legendary, immaculate no-wiper3

Inspired by the poor quality of my movements, work, and Jack Black I went to GNC to investigate the various possibilities for colon cleansing. There was a lot of stuff there: powders, pills, juices, enemas, and some other stuff. I doubt I’ll ever be so desperately constipated that I’ll cram a tube up my ass so the enemas were definitely out. I settled on ground psyllium seed husks because it was the cheapest stuff (~$9) and sounded least likely to cause massive diarrhea.

Having tried the recommended dosage of psyllium seed husks for the past 4 days, I can safely say that psyllium seed husks are the shit (pun intended). The many benefits: according to Wii Fit I lost about 2 lbs and less wipes (not no-wipers). Awesome.

I will not be missing the chili cook-off. I just found out there will be a chili cook-off in Fremont tomorrow (7/27/08) hosted by the Rotary club.

This is the stuff of dreams! El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Homer is one of my favorite episodes of all time. I’m going down there just to see if it’s anything like what they show on Food TV for all the food cook-offs. Being a fan of Wal-mart watching I’m sure the people watching will be amazing.
