The finance guy at the Toyota dealership was pushing a pre-paid maintenance plan on me while he was setting up insurance and registration for me. He quoted it at $1,275 for the 4 year plan: 8 minor, 2 intermediate, and 1 major service.
After some research I found that I can get the same service package for $875 via another Toyota dealer on the internet. It sounds suspicious but I will do more research into the matter.

In relation to the comment below I was in fact able to get pre-paid maintenance for $875 and 7 year /100,000 mile coverage for around $800. The price the anonymous commenter below received for his warranty was better than mine. Nerts.
It is true, you can get it for $875. My dealer just offered it to me for $1250 but when I showed him a quote for $875 he matched it. Same on extended coverage. They quoted me $1,900 and I showed him an on-line quote for $675 and they matched it.
The dealers make a ton of money from folks here. The Koons dealer had the “scam” down pretty good. They played good the junior/senior game pretty well. When called on it, they just said “junior” was new and may have provided incorrect information. She actually lied to me several times.
