Nokia 770 internet tablet
I saw a Nokia 770 internet tablet on clearance at a CompUSA going out of business in Michigan. It was $180. It is a squarely aimed early-adopter types in the market for small chap and almost useless internet devices. In other words, me.
Anyway, I was pretty close to buying the tablet as an impulse-buy but I thought better of it and decided to wait until the Nintendo Wii is more readily available. It turns out to be a good thing that I did not buy the Nokia 770. It got pretty mediocre reviews from various places including Walter Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal. He seems to be a pretty respectable guy (The only problem I have with Mossberg is his excessive Apple loving). Also there is a newer model — the Nokia N800 — that is faster and cooler than its predecessor. Of course.
