Last night I was listening to a streaming radio broadcast of the playoff game between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees on my iPhone. The stream quality is about 64kbps which is low enough to stream on AT&T’s Edge (E) network with reasonable quality. Hopefully 97.1 The Ticket will have all of the Tigers’ playoff games this year. And doubly hopeful that the Tigers make it to the World Series!

The same app and station can be used for listening to the Lions games each Sunday! :-)

• Tap the “Favorites” menu item on the bottom of the screen.
• Tap “Preset” on the upper right corner of the screen
• Tap “iTunes” from the list.
• Tap “Sports Radio” from the list
• Add “97.1 The Ticket” to your favorites — Tap the “+” next to the name.
• Tap the “Play” menu item on the bottom of the screen.

• Tap the station name and you will be streaming the Tigers game!

I went to the Renegade Craft Fair back at the beginning of August. It’s pretty cool and full of Etsy fans. Lots of art, posters, trinkets, and general decorative items. I bought a funky looking print from Drew Morrison for $20 that I have hanging on the mantle.

In addition to interesting artwork there a lot of nice looking ladies to look at as well.

Games of Nonchalance in San Francisco is a (free) real-life adventure in the streets of San Francisco. Judging from the trailer you get to explore San Francisco finding clues uncovering clues to a mysterious cult society. This staged city-adventure is very similar to the interactive Spy in the City adventures available from the International Spy Museum in Washington DC with the added bonus that it is free.

The Spy Museum’s city adventure is slightly different, however, because they provide you a GPS unit and some of the puzzle solving occurs in museums.
