LaPhonso Ellis awesome block basketball

In honor of the NBA Playoffs I was thinking about some of the great plays that don’t get a lot of air time. One play that comes to mind is a block that LaPhonso Ellis had in 1994. I only found 1 YouTube video — top 10 blocks of 1994 — that does it justice. LaPhonso earns spot Number 1.

(Update 8/1/2010: The original video I had was removed from YouTube, here is a better video.)

(Update: Thanks to commenter Morgan — The season is 93-94 and the Nuggets were playing the Timberwolves. The player he blocked was 6’7” Brian Davis.)

Directory of Full Episodes Online

MeeVee, a personalized TV listings and video search startup, has a list of all the TV shows and episodes of your favorite shows that are available online. Kind of like PeekVid except they point to legitimate sources available from the TV networks themselves.

See the MeeVee Show Directory. My current favorites are 30 Rock and Heroes.

Take a look at the TV listings page. It has a cool new feature that lists the shows that were on last night if they are available. Neato!

If that wasn’t enough, they also have a TV show iTunes downloads.

30 Rock is good

As much as I tried to resist liking the show, 30 Rock is actually an entertaining show featuring many cast members from 2002-2005 seasons of Saturday Night Live. Although I hated those seasons of SNL, 30 Rock turns out to be probably NBC’s best new prime time comedy after Andy Barker P.I. which got canceled.

It’s worth catching up with the show on the NBC website. Hopefully they don’t take the older episodes down before I get a chance to watch them. I suspect NBC might remove the earlier episodes so that they can sell them on DVD once the season ends.
