I’m excited about the new Sam & Max game from Telltale Games. The original Sam & Max was a great point-and-click adventure game that came out in the mid-1990s. Read a game review about it.

Although I am admittedly terrible at the puzzles I miss the old adventure games of the 90s. Some of my favorites were from Sierra Online. Willy Beamish was probably my favorite. Space Quest was also great.

LucasArts also made great adventure games that were more humourous than Sierra’s. I loved Sam & Max. I’m revisiting Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle with my DOS emulator.

I don’t know who will distribute this 12 episode series in the U.S. but if you come across it, check it out. It’s an extraordinarily funny anime about otakus.

Interesting characters with some fine comedic moments. High production values with good animation. It’s kind of cheesy and a naturally predictable competition story. I enjoyed it.

Torrents are available. I don’t think this series will get licensed in the US.
