Bank-listed foreclosed homes
I almost bought a foreclosed home from US Bank last year. Unfortunately the bank is retarded and they were trying to sell a house that wasn’t actually legally ready to sell because the property was tied up in the court system. Fine.
Not to be deterred by the legal system, I’m still intrigued by the idea of owning property. Either by assisting current owners by purchasing a short sale or taking advantage of foreclosures. These days foreclosures are listing much closer to true market value so the days of getting an excellent “flip” off a REO home are much lower than a 2-3 years ago.

How to report spam SMS text messages to AT&T
I recently received a rash of spam text messages from an unknown cell phone with offers to “win a free ipad” or “get a free iphone 4s” well, bullshit.
The best thing you can do is to report text spammers to your carrier service. My carrier happens to be AT&T.
To report SMS spam, AT&T asks you to forward the content of the spam SMS to the short code SPAM (7726).
Here’s how to notify AT&T of a spam SMS text message using an iphone:
- View the message
- Tap “Edit” in the upper right corner
- Tap the message to select it
- Tap “Forward” on the lower right corner
- Send the message to 7726 (texting fees may apply)
- You will receive a free text message back from AT&T asking for the phone number
- Respond with the phone number.

Listen to Detroit Tigers playoffs vs. Yankees on your iPhone
Last night I was listening to a streaming radio broadcast of the playoff game between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees on my iPhone. The stream quality is about 64kbps which is low enough to stream on AT&T’s Edge (E) network with reasonable quality. Hopefully 97.1 The Ticket will have all of the Tigers’ playoff games this year. And doubly hopeful that the Tigers make it to the World Series!
The same app and station can be used for listening to the Lions games each Sunday! :-)
- Download FStream for iPhone
- Tap the “Favorites” menu item on the bottom of the screen.
- Tap “Preset” on the upper right corner of the screen
- Tap “iTunes” from the list.
- Tap “Sports Radio” from the list
- Add “97.1 The Ticket” to your favorites — Tap the “+” next to the name.
- Tap the “Play” menu item on the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the station name and you will be streaming the Tigers game!
